Rukmavva Ramappa Mang

She expanded her Flour Grinding Mill business to make ends meet.

Rukmavva Ramappa Mang took a loan of INR 15,000 for a flour grinding mill to expand her business and increase her income. Prior to this, she worked on a farm as an agriculture labourer at field with his husband Ramappa Lakkavva Mang. She lives in Sounsuddi Village in the Raibag Taluka, located Belgaum district – Karnataka. Over the age of 30, she belongs to a scheduled caste community, a particular group of peoples that are marginalized.

She has three children, the eldest being her daughter Ashwini who is studying in the 9th standard at the local school. Her second daughter, Akshata is currently in the 5th standard, and she has a son, Ajit, studying in the 3rd standard.

Rukmavva started her flour grinding mill business to make ends meet, and with the help of her husband, provides mill services by converting whole grains into flour. She plans to support her children and get them a better education, and home comforts.
